FAQs

How long does a bed last?

According to test findings from the Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) the characteristics of a bed can deteriorate by up to 70% over 10 years. In fact a study by FIRA (2011) showed that beds as little as six years old could offer significantly less support and comfort than a new one, thanks to the wear and tear not just from body weight and movement but also sweat and debris such as skin, scales, hair etc.

It is important to judge your bed on how comfortable and supportive it is for both you and your sleeping partner.

Where can I buy a Sleepeezee bed?

The only bed Sleepeezee sell directly to the public is the Travelodge Dreamer bed. All other beds are sold via our network of  stockists, which include high street retailers, internet retailers and major retailers. Please refer to our “Where to buy” page to find those nearest to you.

Where do I start when I am looking for a new bed?

Purchasing a new bed can be a daunting task due to the wide range of options available. Sleepeezee recognise this and have developed a “Mattress finder” tool that should help make this decision a little easier. In addition visit our “Finding the perfect mattress” page for tips and advice.

Is bigger better when it comes to selecting a bed?

Yes! When asleep the body moves 60-70 times during the night and this can be disruptive for your sleeping partner so the best advice is to consider purchasing the biggest bed that will fit into your sleeping space. It is worth considering that a standard 4’6” double bed only allows 2’3” of space per person, which is less than a single bed and less space than a baby has in a cot!

What sizes are available?

Most Sleepeezee ranges are available in the following sizes, but please always check this with the retailer: single (3ft), small double (4ft), double (4ft6), King (5ft), super king (6ft) and zip and link.

What is zipped and linked?

Sleepeezee manufacture zip and link beds. The mattresses zip together along their full length for easy and fast conversion whilst the divans discreetly link at the head and footend. The large bed may also be split into two single beds when needed providing complete versatility. This option should also be considered if your property has any delivery or room restrictions.

Please refer to the “Collections” page for the options available.

What is the difference between a platform top and sprung edge divan base?

Platform top divan bases have a solid, non-sprung top panel and can provide a superior and slightly firmer feel. In comparison a sprung edge divan will equally provide an exceptional level of comfort, but may have a softer feel. It is important to consider this when purchasing your mattress as the type of base will affect the overall comfort level.

What storage and drawer options are available?

Sleepeezee divan bases can include drawers in various configurations to accommodate your room space and personal needs. Please refer to the “Collections” page for more details.

How do you calculate spring counts?

Spring counts are based on the sleep area density, which is pro-rata’d to a standard king size (5ft) mattress. The spring count does not necessarily determine the comfort rating for each mattress, as the varying types of fillings will affect the overall feel. It is important to test your mattress beforehand to ensure it is suitable for you.

Can I put my new mattress on an existing base or bedstead?

Sleepeezee recommend using one of our foundation bases, as an old unit may not provide sufficient support and may result in the mattress sagging. If you have purchased a mattress only, ensure that the frame or divan base on which it rests is an equivalent size and solid foundation. If the frame or base is slatted, the bed frame should have a central support rail on sizes over 4’6” and the recommended maximum distance between each slat is 3” (76mm). Please also be aware that slatted bed frames may give the mattress a firmer feel compared to a sprung divan base so this should be considered when trying out mattresses.

Please note that your guarantee may be compromised if the base selected is unsuitable with regard to the level of support that it gives to the mattress.

Does my bed come with a guarantee?

Yes. All Sleepeezee products come with a guarantee and the length will depend on the product purchased. Please view the “Your bed” page for further details. It is with the retailer that the purchaser’s contract of sale exists.

Can I ask advice at any time?

Sleepeezee have an enquiries section on the “Contact us” page where you can get in touch with at any time. Alternatively you may also want to speak directly to the retailer where you purchased your bed.

How long does delivery take?

As the contract of sale is between yourself and the retailer (apart from the Dreamer bed) the delivery times and arrangements will be coordinated with them directly. The delivery times are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays.

Do you deliver outside the United Kingdom?

Sleepeezee only manufacture and deliver to stores within the United Kingdom and Southern Ireland.

Do you have stockists in Ireland?

Yes. Please refer to the “Where to buy” page for the details.

I have seen a Sleepeezee model in a retail outlet but I cannot see the model on your website, is it manufactured by Sleepeezee?

Sleepeezee manufactures a wide range of models which are produced exclusively for individual retailers. These models are manufactured to the same level of care and quality as the main collection, but are tailored to the particular retailer’s needs. Providing the model is correctly branded Sleepeezee with the Royal Warrant then you should be purchasing a genuine product, made to our exacting standards. However, if you want to check this at any time then please contact us via the “Contact us” page.

I had a great night’s sleep on a Sleepeezee bed during a recent hotel stay. Can I buy one?

If you stayed in a Travelodge hotel, then please visit the “Travelodge” page where you can purchase the Dreamer bed. In some cases, for other hotels, you can buy the bed you slept on directly from the hotel where you stayed or contact us via the “Contact us” page.

I bought my bed a number of years ago and would like to purchase the same one but I notice it is no longer available. What shall I do?

It is highly likely that if your bed is over five years old, the exact model will no longer be available. However we may have a comparable product for you. Your retailer will be able to assist you in reviewing our current models and help you to find the best bed that will suit your personal needs. Alternatively contact us via the “Contact us” page and we will suggest some options. It is important to note that, although Sleepeezee can suggest some models that may be similar in terms of specifications, we strongly recommend you test these out yourself to be sure as everyone has a different comfort preference.

Are the beds tested for flammability?

Yes. Sleepeezee comply with all UK legislation and all products must pass the threshold for domestic flammability risk.

What shall I do if I do not like the bed when it arrives?

For all beds apart from the Dreamer bed, please contact the retailer where you purchased your bed directly, as this is where the contract of sale exists.

Where can I purchase spare parts?

Please contact us using the “Contact us” page and include details such as the name of your bed, size and all other relevant information when you submit your request.

How do I put my bed together?

Every Sleepeezee mattress should be accompanied by a care leaflet which will detail the assembly instruction for your mattress. Alternatively visit the “Your bed” page where assembly instructions can be found.

How do I look after my bed?

Please refer to the care leaflet that accompanied your mattress when it was delivered. This will detail simple “Do” and “Don’t” guidelines and recommendations.

How do I clean my bed?

Using cleaning products on your mattress may damage some of the materials. Sleepeezee recommend that you use a mattress cover, which will provide protection from body moisture or other liquids.

I have a problem with my purchase. What shall I do?

In the first instance, please contact the retailer from whom you purchased the product; they will be happy to collate all of the information from you before passing it onto Sleepeezee. Both the retailer and Sleepeezee will work hard to resolve your problem as soon as possible.

Your statutory rights are not affected.

My mattress has developed an indentation where I sleep. Is this normal?

Given the high quality of fillings within a Sleepeezee product there will be a period of time where the fillings in the mattress will settle down, which will create a natural impression on the top of it. This will inevitably happen where weight is applied i.e. generally where you sleep. Take care to read the care leaflet that accompanies the mattress, which details how often the mattress should be turned or rotated. A double sided mattress must be turned every week for the first three months, then every month thereafter. A non-turn mattress must be rotated from head to foot every week for the first three months and then every month thereafter.

My new mattress feels different to when I tested it in the shop?

Your new bed may feel different from any you have previously used or tested and it may take a period of time for your body to become accustomed to the different comfort and support level. The beds that are on display in a retail shop may have been there for some time and have therefore been tested by numerous people, which can affect the comfort level.

Can I purchase Sleepeezee pillows or duvets?

Unfortunately Sleepeezee do not currently manufacture pillows or duvets.
